Bafana faced one of their toughest tasks in recent years with France putting out a team filled with world class talents. As one of the star performers on the night, Kylian Mbappe proved to be handful for the Bafana defence.
The Paris Saint-Germain star netted a brace, while Olivier Giroud, Wissam Ben-Yedder and Matteo Guendouzi rounded off the scoreboard.
While trailing 4-0 up until the 84th minute, things went from bad to worse as Mamelodi Sundowns star Khuliso Mudau was sent off after a rash challenge on midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
