The DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season award nominee played 30 matches in all competitions for Matsatsantsa last season, managing five goals and six assists.

The key people in his life shared some heartwarming messages of support as Shandre embarks on a new journey to Europe, with his parents Clarissa and Rishaan Campbell expressing plenty of pride in their son:

"We would just like to wish him all of the best, we know that he is going to make it. We will stand fully behind him as a family. He just needs to stay positive and humble and to go out there to do what he does best. He knows what it takes to be the best," said Shandre's mother, Clarissa to SuperSport TV

"Keep on working hard, Shandre. We are grateful that you want to give us as parents a better life, we are grateful that you sacrificed everything and it's paying off right now. We are excited for what the future holds as your parents, your siblings and for you, yourself. We are grateful for the door that opened because if it wasn't for God, I don't think you would've been where you are today.

"Keep on praying, keep on believing, stay positive and we thank you for what you are doing for us. We are grateful as your parents and your siblings, you are a blessing to us," added Mrs Campbell in her touching message to her son.

"Shandre, your father wants to wish you all the best and only the best in your life. Shandre, I have never doubted you," said his father, Rishaan, who was struggling to contain his emotions.

"I remember the days, of us spending time together going into different areas just to give you a proper training session. You have never said no, remember that, go with that mindset to the other side of the world. The world is at your feet my son, I love you Shandre. I know that you will never disappoint us," continued Rishaan, who was holding back tears during his message to Shandre.

"Thank you Shandre. That you have taken note of all of our sacrifices, that was not in vain. Thank you Shandre, that you showed as a child how disciplined you are, how committed you are, how dedicated you are. I wish you all the best Shandre, I love you, I couldn't be a better and prouder father than I am now," added Mr Campbell in saluting his son.
