The next few weeks will be crucial for Souaibou Marou to prove his worth at Orlando Pirates with the club expected to decide on his future, sources have indicated.
Marou was given a run as a substitute in the last 20 minutes against Mamelodi Sundowns to mark his first league appearance this season.

The Cameroonian impressed Pirates coach Jose Riveiro during practice matches when the season was in recess during the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Prior to releasing Marou's countryman Bienvenu Eva Nga, who went on to re-sign with Chippa United in January, the Buccaneers had been expected to send the 23-year-old on loan.
It was later decided that the player was deserving of a chance to compete for a place in the star-studded team just like the rest of the players.

"The guy has struggled for game time since arriving from Cameroon despite coming here highly rated as he was scoring goals (for Coton Sport). This is a big chance for him now that the coach is giving him a chance to prove himself to improve his chances of a longer stay. Expect the club to make some changes to the squad for next season and the performances will be evaluated," said the source.
Marou is contracted to Pirates until 2025, having joined the club in January last year.
