Orlando Pirates could be reopening their interest in a Cape Town-based striker, as they may hope to bring the player to Soweto in January, the Siya crew understands.
The player in question is Cape Town Spurs striker Ashley Cupido, who Soccer Laduma linked to Bucs in the winter but a transfer was not possible back then.

Siya sources have now indicated that the Houghton based side may want the striker as soon as possible but if that is not possible then there are other solutions.
Sources added that Pirates could even be open to a player exchange deal just so that they can get their man.
"You know Pirates have one of their strikers in Boitumelo (Radiopane) at Spurs but they are willing to involve other strikers like (Bienvenu) Eva Nga and (Souaibou) Marou as part of this deal," said the Siya source.
"That's how serious they are about Cupido. You remember they wanted him at the start of the current season but that didn't work so now they have reopened that interest in him. We know it will be difficult because he is one of the most reliable players for Spurs at the moment but in football there are no guarantees and anything could happen," the source added.
A second Siya source added that the player himself was ready to move from Cape Town to Johannesburg in the off season.
"For now it will all depend on the club but the player is ready for a new challenge. As you know, it was not only Pirates who were interested in him. Their rivals Kaizer Chiefs were also interested in Cupido but for now it's only Pirates that I know who are really interested in him," the source told Soccer Laduma.
The Siya crew contacted Pirates for comment but no response was received while this story was prepared.
