Hazard Makes Big Real Madrid Admission After Retiring

Eden Hazard has made a significant admission about his time at Real Madrid following his recent decision to retire from football at just 32 years old.

The Belgian recently called time on his career after a difficult four-year spell at Los Blancos, who made the winger one of the most expensive signings in history in 2019 when they signed him from Chelsea.

The excitement of his arrival failed to match the product delivered by Hazard whenever he did turn out for the 14-time UEFA Champions League as he departed the club after scoring just seven goals in 76 appearances.

His form, injuries and general lack of motivation in Madrid ultimately led to his decision to hang up his boots, a year earlier than his deal at Real was initially set to expire, and the Belgian has now admitted he stopped enjoying training.

"Last season was complicated and when I left the national team I already had everything thought out," he said, according to ManagingMadrid.

"I no longer enjoyed going to training and as I played less it became more complicated."
