Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly placed a recording-setting price tag on Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A table-toppers will only listen to offers in the region of €150 million (R2.9 billion) for their west African talisman.
Osimhen has been one of Europe's most prolific forwards this season, having scored 26 goals in 31 matches across all competitions for Napoli.
Consequently, the 24-year-old has garnered the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester United are believed to be interested in acquiring the Lagos native's services, but De Laurentiis is trying to convince him and his representatives to stay at the club.
Should any of those teams decide to pay the abovementioned amount, Osimhen will replace Romelu Lukaku as the most expensive departure in Serie A history, and would also become the costliest African footballer the game has seen.

The Super Eagle is currently the top goalscorer in 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification, alongside Sadio Mane, with five goals, and while there are likely to be questions over his injury record, in 2022/23, Osimhen has missed the least amount of games in a season of his Napoli career so far.
