As per the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old is close to agreeing a new deal at the Emirates Stadium as the Gunners look to tie down the Hale End academy alumni to a new long-term contract.
The London native is said to be set to rake in a massive £300 000 (R6.7 million) per week, becoming the highest-paid player currently at the club, and the best compensated U21 star in the side's history.
Saka has become an integral player for both club and country over the past year, increasing his stock substantially, and it seems the Premier League log leaders want to reward him accordingly.
The same report suggests that Manchester City were keeping tabs on the winger's situation, but having led his side to a surprise title charge this season, the Englishman is understood to have been convinced by Mikel Arteta enough to want to stay on at the club.
The last players at Arsenal who earned north of £300 000 a week were former club captains Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the former teammates at various points in their Arsenal careers taking home wages of £350 000 (R7.8 million).

Saka is reportedly eager to make his UEFA Champions League debut with Arsenal, a competition the 13-time English champions have not qualified for in seven years, and barring a disastrous collapse in the rest of this campaign, it will likely be a tournament they return to next season.
