France Star Reveals Mbappe's First Speech As Captain

France star Eduardo Camavinga has revealed what Kylian Mbappe told the players ahead of his first game as captain of the national side.

The Paris Saint-Germain star was named the new captain on Tuesday after Hugo Lloris retired from international football.

Mbappe's first game couldn't have gone any better, with the 24-year-old scoring twice in France's 4-0 thrashing of the Netherlands on Friday night.

Camavinga has now opened up about what the new Les Blues captain told the players before the game and at halftime.

"Before the match, he told us to play well in the opening minutes. At half-time, he told us to carry on, and that if we needed to score six, then we'd have to score six," Camavinga said, as per RMC.

Camavinga played down claims that the dressing room has changed after a few a players announced their retirement from the international game.

"There were lots of young players at the World Cup as well. I wouldn't say the atmosphere has changed."

"We didn't concede, we were all together. We have another match on Monday [against Ireland], it'll be important to do the same."
