The president of the French Football Federation (FFF) has released an apology after receiving backlash from Kylian Mbappe for comments he made about Zinedine Zidane.

On Sunday, the FFF chief claimed to be uninterested in the ex-Real Madrid manager's future and insisted he would not answer the phone if Zidane call him.
Those remarks caused a stir in France, with Paris Saint-Germain's Mbappe going public with his feelings about the manager who was strongly linked with replacing Didier Deschamps as France head coach following the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Deschamps, however, was handed a contract extension on the weekend, leading many to believe that Le Graet's comments about Zidane were unnecessary, particularly given his reputation as a Les Bleus legend.
Le Graet has since issued an apology, insisting that the comments do not reflect his true thoughts.
"I want to give my apologies for those comments that absolutely don't reflect my thoughts, nor my consideration for the player that he was and the manager he has become," he told AFP.
Zidane was capped 108 times for France between 1994 and 2006, winning the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 UEFA European Championship in the process.
