Manchester United have made a final decision on the future of four first-team players ahead of the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have taken the decision to trigger the one-year options for Diogo Dalot, Fred, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw.
All four players were set to head into the final six months of their respective contracts next month, but the club have decided to extend for a further year.
Rashford Responds To Man Utd Exit Rumours"Yes, I can confirm it," coach Erik ten Hag said on ManUtd.com.
"We are happy because the squad is going in the right direction and those players [have] a massive contribution in that direction."
He continued, "We want to develop, we want to support those players and we want them to keep in our process," the manager added.
"So, that's why we came to those decisions, I'm sure they are the right decisions.
"We want to construct a team for the future, so for longer years, and those players have to be part of it."
