Former Orlando Pirates, Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits winger Sameehg Doutie has called time on his glorious career.
In a series of social media posts titled, "Goodbye to the beautiful game" the 32-year-old sent messages of gratitude to all of his former teams, as well as the junior and senior South African national teams as he called time on a 15-year-long professional career.
Doutie, whose career started out at Ajax Cape Town's Ikamva in 2007, turned out for seven different teams throughout his career, which saw him ply his trade in India, Sweden as well as a number of clubs in South Africa.
Doutie enjoyed a trophy-laden career that saw him win two Telkom Knockout trophies, MTN8, Nedbank Cup and Indian Super League championship.
Before calling time on his career, the pint-sized winger had an assessment at Chippa United under his former coach Gavin Hunt, although nothing came of it at the time, with the club opting not to snap him up.
His last club was the now-defunct Bidvest Wits.
