A furious Cristiano Ronaldo was seen storming down the tunnel after returning for Portugal in their 2-0 defeat to Slovenia on Tuesday night.

The 39-year-old sat out of his nation's win over Sweden this past weekend, but was back in the action in Slovenia.

Ronaldo was unable to impact the game, with only two of Portugal's 10 attempts at goal falling to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, and he was visibly frustrated following their loss.

After the final whistle, footage showed the ex-Real Madrid and Manchester United man heading down the tunnel waving his arms in anger, with it unclear as to who he was directing his displeasure at.

On Ronaldo's performance, the Daily Mail wrote: "Portugal's top goalscorer was barely involved, and spent more time trying to find fouls and appealing to officials than making a difference between the two sides."

The defeat ends an 11-match winning streak under new manager Roberto Martinez, who will take charge of his first tournament with A Selecao at the 2024 European Championship in June.
