Former Real Madrid and Manchester City forward Robinho will serve a nine-year prison sentence.
The retired Brazilian footballer was convicted in 2017 for his part in a group sexual assault after an incident at a night club in Milan nine years ago.

Brazil does not extradite nationals, which met Italy had to seek imprisonment in the player's home nation.
Sky News has reported that a Brazilian court has now ruled that Robinho must serve out a prison sentence in Brazil.
The judges on Brazil's Superior Court of Justice voted 9-2 to validate the ex player's conviction.
The former Brazil international recently claimed that his prison sentence was a result of racism in Italy.
"I was convicted in Italy unjustly for something that did not happen and I have all the evidence to show that. I played four years in Italy and I got tired of seeing stories of racism," Robinho told Record TV.
"Unfortunately it happens today. That happened in 2013 and today we are in 2024, which leads me to believe that the same people who do nothing against racism are the same ones who they condemned at my trial.
"If my trial were for a white person, it would be totally different, without a doubt."
