Today marks one year since the iconic night at Anfield that saw Liverpool thump Barcelona 4-0 in a passion-filled UEFA Champions League semi-final clash. Looking back on the tie, fans have taken to social media to remember the unforgettable match. Have a look!
After the first leg at the Camp Nou, it appeared that Jurgen Klopp's men had one foot out the door following a Lionel Messi-inspired 3-0 win in Barcelona. Seemingly humbled at the time, nobody foresaw the brutal onslaught the Spanish giants were to face in the return fixture on a boisterous night under the floodlights at Anfield.
However, there was a sense of hope before the game commenced. The Liverpool faithful were in full voice, and the deafening chants aided an electric atmosphere. More feelings of hope were evoked when Mohamed Salah, who sat out the match due to a minor injury, was spotted wearing a T-shirt with print that read: "Never Give Up".

A 3-0 mountain to climb suddenly felt doable and, subsequently, the fired-up Liverpool stars did their part. Divock Origi, who had built a reputation for being an important bit-part player for Klopp, opened the scoring in the seventh minute.
Georginio Wijnaldum was summoned from the bench early in the second half, and in a 122-second flurry, the Dutchman's brace equalled the scoreline on aggregate and restored hope for all Reds supporters in the process.
Rattled at this point, Barcelona had no reply to the energy, pace and "gegenpressing" of the Merseysiders as Origi's 79th minute winner, direct from a quickly taken corner, sent the Kop into a state of euphoria.
