FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has discussed Lionel Messi's contract situation at the Catalan club.
Players With 200 Goals Or More In One League
In June, Barca publicly stated that Messi had put pen to paper on a new contract with the club, but it was later revealed that he had not, and is yet to do so.
Pique, who came through the Blaugrana's youth system with the Argentine, believes that it is almost certain the 30-year-old will commit his future to the club.
"All players have the right to sign or renew their contracts when they want to. In the end, a renewal is a question for the club and the player," he told the Daily Mail.
"That's true in all cases, I'm not just talking about Messi.
"When the two sides agree and they find the moment to sign, they sign. We hope it happens as soon as possible.
"Everyone knows he loves the club more than anyone. People shouldn't be concerned that he won't sign."
