Orlando Pirates captain, Oupa "Ace" Manyisa emphatically told members of the media that he does not miss former teammate and fellow South African international, Andile Jali, in a media briefing ahead of Saturday's Soweto derby.

The soft-spoken playmaker formed one of the most formidable midfield partnerships with Jali who has since moved to Belgian side, KV Oostende, which helped thrust the Buccaneers to clinch a double treble under Dutch coach, Ruud Krol.

When asked about his current form, compared to when he played alongside Jali and if he feels it has either improved or declined, the Bucs captain merely stated that he felt the same and that any assessment of his playing level will be made by the coach.

"All I can say about the way I'm playing now is that I feel fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinions in the way I play but I have to hear from the coach how he feels I'm doing," declared the Bucs skipper.

On whether or not he missed the relationship and partnership with Jali, Ace jokingly declared he did not miss his former midfield partner.

"I don't miss him, there are other players who are capable and doing extremely well for the team," added the playmaker.
