A Different Back Four For Nabi Against Downs?

A Different Back Four For Nabi Against Downs?

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi may have no choice but to have a different back four for the Nedbank Cup semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Amakhosi are still in contention for a title this season and they want to keep it that way, but there are some concerns going into the clash with Inacio Miguel unlikely to be in good condition to face Sundowns this weekend.

The Angolan was taken off with an injury against TS Galaxy during this past weekend and it's understood that the medical team have been working with him closely, in the hope of seeing if he'd be available to feature against Sundowns.

With Rushwin Dortley also out for the Soweto giants, Nabi will have some decisions to make on who plays at the back. Given Msimango is likely to be partnered by Edmilson Dove as the left-sided centre back, with Bradley Cross expected to feature at left back and Dillan Solomons at right back.

Zitha Kwinika, who has made just one appearance for Amakhosi this season, remains an option at centre back for Nabi. Kwinika had been linked with an exit at the end of the season, but is believed to be working hard to try to get into the team. It remains to be seen if Nabi would take the risk of playing him in a game as big as this one.
