Chiefs went into the FIFA international break on top of their game, winning three matches in a row against Highlands Park, Maritzburg United and Free State Stars. And during the break they beat Bloemfontein Celtic 4-1 in the Sparta Macufe Cup, with Katsande telling journalists that the win against Celtic was very important to keep the momentum going.
"I don't think the break affected us," the Zimbabwean explained. "We have been working the same way that we always do."

The 30-year-old added that the international break has not had a negative effect for the team, but has actually been good, for the sake of giving fringe players the chance to play.
"To us there was no break so the break hasn't affected us," he continued. It has also given other players the chance to get game time. Every player wants to play and that helps build our team spirit."
