The 2 million Euro (R29m) price tag slapped on midfielder, Oupa ‘Ace’ Manyisa, by Orlando Pirates is considered as a “ridiculous” amount according to one of South Africa’s top agents, who has placed a number of players in Europe.
The agent told the Siya crew that in his opinion, Pirates have no intention of losing Manyisa hence the obscene asking price.
Soccer Laduma reported that Egyptian giants Al Ahly were reportedly interested in bringing the South African into their ranks after seeing him in action during the CAF Champions League.
This asking price is sure scaring off the eight time CAF Champions League winners, and possible European suitors who may be interested in the 25-year-old midfielder.
“Manyisa should be priced in the region of 750 000 Euro (R11m),” according to the agent.
In January, Andile Jali left Pirates for Belgian club, KV Oostende, for an estimated 1 million Euro (R15m).
