Mosimane: Polokwane Play Proper Football

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was full of praise for Polokwane City after his side's 2-0 win on Wednesday. The Brazilians scored twice in the second-half to clinch all three points at Rise and Shine, but Mosimane believes the hosts should be given credit for their style of play. "We needed the win, to be honest. But we knew we would win, it was just a question of time," he said after the game. "I will say it again, Polokwane City is a very good team. They play with proper organisation, with the right tempo... They play football the proper way. "They don't play percentage football. Many play percentage football and win. City play proper football, the way it's supposed to be played. They have a good coach." Sundowns' Man of the Match, Percy Tau, added that the three points were important and that the players who came in to replace the regulars did a good job.
"We know we are last on the log, so we need to collect points. I'm glad that we won tonight because we lost to Cape Town City. This gives us confidence to go to the Telkom Knockout semi-finals," he said added. "I think the coach was trying to rest some of his senior guys, and we know they (the fringe players) are good players so they need game time. I'm glad they came here and did the job for us."
