Ntuli Starts Pirates Training

Talented South African youngster, Nhlakanipho Ntuli, finally began training with Orlando Pirates today, after flying into Johannesburg this past weekend.

The 17-year-old is set to spend this season with Pirates, before making the move to FC Twente in Holland, having been involved in a co-development project between the two sides.

Ntuli was due to join Twente in February, once he turned 18, however due to the registration rules in the country he would not be able to turn out for their first team. It was thereafter decided that he would remain in South Africa for the length of Pirates’ PSL campaign.

The youngster has been in Durban up until now, but today trained with Roger de Sa and his first team as he looks to try and persuade the head coach that he is deserving of a place in their match day squad.

‘Nanana’ is judged to be an exciting talent for the future and at one stage it was rumoured that the Buccaneers would have unretired the number 10 jersey for him, something that has since been denied.

Pirates fans will now be excited to see what Ntuli has to offer following his addition to their first team.
