Lebese has found some of his best form since the start of the 2015/16 campaign, topping the goalscoring charts in the MTN8 with three goals and currently sitting atop the PSL goalscoring charts, tied with Prince Nxumalo, on three goals.
The 26-year-old disclosed that he is still in the process of learning from his fellow left-footed midfielder and Amakhosi captain, Shabba, and the other established players at the club.
With the Chiefs captain now in his 30’s, 'Milkshake' indicated that he will be ready to take over his mantle when the time arises.
“It’s not only about taking over from him. It’s also about learning from him and complementing each other in what we do for the team.”
“I learn a lot from Shabba and other senior players in the team – this is helping me become better,” Lebese told Soccer Laduma.
