Saal has been playing for Santos’ neighbours from the Western Cape, Milano United, in the National First Division. The 22-year-old striker parted ways with Milano in January.
According to information on the Siya crew’s desk, the player’s switch to Santos is as good as done, with the parties involved in the deal ironing out a few things on paperwork-related issues for the completion of the move.
Saal has scored three league goals for Milano so far in the 2014/15 NFD campaign. The People’s Team are currently sitting 10th on the NFD log with seven wins from 18 games.
Contacted for comment Santos’ chairman, Goolam Allie, confirmed that his club is in talks for the player, however, he explained that the parties have not finalised the deal just as yet.
