Kaizer Chiefs striker, Bernard Parker, recently put pen to paper on a new deal which will reportedly be worth R10.8 million, excluding bonuses.
Three weeks ago the Siya crew broke the news that the striker had agreed to terms regarding a new contract with the Amakhosi.
Chiefs confirmed, two weeks ago, that the 29-year-old had committed to a three-year deal and Siya sources have further revealed that his new contract will make him one of the highest paid players at the club.
A source has indicated that the entire deal is worth approximately R10.8 million which excludes any additional bonuses.
Parker will be making a cool R300 000 a month and is expected to walk away with close to R12 million at the end of the three years, if the Amakhosi are able to win trophies and prize money during that time.
Most of the top earners in the league earn in the bracket of R150 000 to R250 000, which means that Parker is now one of the highest earners in the PSL.
Do you think that Parker deserves to be one of the top earners in the league? Considering this multimillion-rand deal how many goals a season do you think Parker needs to score to repay the Amakhosi?
