A retired African star, who was on the cards of Liverpool during his playing days, is reportedly "fighting for his life" after suffering a stroke.

Former Cameroon international Rigobert Song has been hospitalised in his home country and is reportedly fighting for his life, as reported by The Sun.
The 40-year-old reportedly suffered a stroke in Yaounde, Cameroon, and was rushed to hospital.
The football world has been sending messages of support for the most capped player in Cameroon's history.
His former national teammate Samuel Eto'o was among many high-profile former players, such as Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher, who sent their support via social media.
"I wish you a lot of courage and a speedy recovery big brother," Eto'o said (translated from French) in an Instagram post.
The defender made 35 appearances for Liverpool, and his old club also posted a message of support for their former player.
"Our thoughts are with Rigobert Song and his family at this time," the club posted on their official Twitter account.
