Who Is Next? Fans Weigh In On PSL Coaching Merry-Go-Round

Who Is Next? Fans Weigh In On PSL Coaching Merry-Go-Round

The ever-revolving door for PSL coaches has claimed three victims in the space of a week.

Black Leopards, Amazulu and Chippa United have parted ways with their respective coaches after a string of disappointing results in the opening matches of the Absa Premiership.

As a result, fans have weighed in on the PSL coaching merry-go-round and have given permutations on who they think is next.

Lionel Soccoia, Cavin Johnson and Clinton Larsen have lasted only five games into the 2019/20 season. Their results are strikingly similar, having both failed to register a win with their clubs who sat on two and three points respectively. The Leopards coach being the only one with a win in the bottom five.

They are accompanied in the bottom four by newly promoted Stellenbosch FC as well as last season's promotion/relegation playoff survivors, Maritzburg United, both who are yet to register a win this season.

According to fans' comments, a few other coaches in the PSL's results have been less than satisfying.

They were quick to mention the likes of Eric Tinkler and Steve Barker, whose heads could be next on the chopping block should their dismal results continue.

There have also been a few surprise names thrown into the hat. As much as Chiefs have had a brilliant start to the season, there are still fans who feel that the German is not what is needed at the Glamour Boys if they were to reclaim their glory of old.

Rhulani Mokwena's name has also been mentioned. Perhaps a saving grace for the 34-year-old was Pirates' 2-1 win over Chippa United this weekend after a run of six games without a win, or finding the back of the net.

Check out some of the fans comments below:

SL Supporter: Uriah Mokone
"Bobby must do the same with Midderndorp, his attitude towards players will never win us trophies he's not professional and acts as if media it's the right channel to build their confidence. At first it was Billiat then Ntshangase and now it's Khune. I'm just wondering why after getting that award he thinks he's bigger than everyone."

SL Supporter: Leiks en lake
"Wow Clinton saved Rhulani's job, now he's unemployed sad indeed."

SL Supporter: Swinedunus-6-Rats-0-namanje
"We would also have release Ernst Middendorp if he lost to Pirates as well. They are the reason Larsen was released."

SL Supporter: Dunu-Rats-Slayer
"Coach recycling begins. As usual, Larsen is one of them. Always on the move."

SL Supporter: So-Mathabo-KBY
"As I've said it this morning Larsen for Amazulu, Johnson for Stellenbosch, Barker back to NFD."
