With Bidvest Wits Captain Thulani Hlatshwayo being heavily linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, one fan has reacted to the news, likening his possible arrival to that of former defensive stalwart Siyabonga Sangweni.
Sangweni made over 100 appearances for Orlando Pirates after joining them from Lamontville Goden Arrows in 2011. The towering defender was solid in the tackle, composed on the ball and regularly found the back of the net for the Buccaneers.
Tyson, as Hlatshwayo is known, possesses the same attributes as the now-retired defender. The 29-year-old is a no-nonsense defender, who is not afraid to get stuck in, is always ready to go to war for the team and more importantly, finds the back of the net on a regular basis.
Hlatshwayo is in his prime and should he move to Parktown, will demand regular game time. Pirates are thin at the back having recently sold Marshall Munetsi to Reims in France and Gladwin Shitolo has gone out on loan to Chippa United.
Currently they have aging defenders, Happy Jele, Alfred Ndengane and Justice Chabalala as their central defensive options.
One fan has voiced his opinion on what Tyson's signing might mean for the Bucs.
Check it out.
