Reader's Voice: Rhulani Is Like A Ferrari...

Reader's Voice: Rhulani Is Like A Ferrari...

After a spate of disappointing results, fans' opinions are split with regards to Rhulani Mokwena.

While some think he should be given the benefit of the doubt, others feel he is way in over his head with the Pirates job.

It is an open secret that Mokwena comes highly recommended. Regarded as one of the most dynamic minds in South African football, a bright future was predicted for the 34-year-old.

Having served as an assistant coach under the guidance of experienced campaigners like Pitso Mosimane and Milutin Sredojevic, many felt that a step up to the head coach position was on the horizon for Mokwena.

He had an abrupt introduction to life as a head coach, after the shocking resignation of Sredojevic.

It has been four games into Mokwena's tenure and his side is yet to claim a single victory as he tries to find the perfect combinations.

It's safe to say that Rhulani has fans in his corner, they believe that he should be given time to acclimatise to his new position and that eventually he will come good.

On the contrary, there are those who feel that perhaps Pirates is too big a club  for a coach with so little experience under his belt.

Check out some of the comments here.

"Keep Rhulani and Davids, no need for panic buttons yet, the results will come. In addition, bench Mhango and give others a chance. Since his arrival he's played in all the games without any returns, except one goal in the opening game."

"Wow Rhulani needs time to produce results Micho is the reason behind all this, he should have resigned during pre-season training camp, so he hit Orlando Pirates where it hurt most. They didn't see this coming, now it's up to the management whether they appoint another coach or not. According to me, it's continuity, no need for another coach."

HlayiKhosi4Life
"A Big team being led by inexperienced coaches, I'm not surprised, the results is the true reflection."

Line's Man...
"Rhulani Mokwena = A Ferrari with A Picanto Engine..."

Rhulani must admit he is a novice and intern in coaching a big club. Put theory into practice. Remember how you were mocking Solinas and Khompela? People thought you're the best coach ever, now we can all see that you're an empty vessel. I hope Pirates will give you 3-year contract, we enjoy to watch you so miserable. UP THE BUCS!

Do you think Rhulani Mokwena should be given a chance to prove his worth at Pirates?
