Following the shocking news that Stuart Baxter has resigned as the head coach of Bafana Bafana, Kaizer Chiefs fans are waiting for the Englishman with open arms at Naturena.
The last time Kaizer Chiefs won any kind of silverware, was when they won the MTN 8 trophy in the 2014/15 season under the guidance of Baxter.
Since then, Steve Komphela, Giovanni Solinas, Patrick Mabedi (interim) and now Ernst Middendorp, have all failed to replicate that feat, with the Amakhosi trophy cabinet gathering dust.
Baxter's time at the helm of Bafana Bafana came to an end on Friday, after two years in charge of the national team. Baxter's failure at the recently staged AFCON being the final nail in his coffin.
With Baxter jobless and Chiefs fans unhappy with their German coach, there have been cries for the 65-year-old Brit to take over the reins at Amakhosi.
