Orlando Pirates See A Draw As A Defeat While Kaizer Chiefs See It As A Win

Tshini!

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw on Saturday at the FNB Stadium. Chiefs left back Daniel Cardoso scored the opening goal in the 53rd minute after being awarded a penalty while Pirates gave their rivals a kick in the teeth after Thembinkosi Lorch scored the equaliser in the 80th minute. What do the fans think about the Soweto Derby and its outcomes?

Soccer Laduma reader Rochi Rams does not seem happy about the draw but threw shade at Chiefs saying a point is as good as a victory for them:

"To us, Orlando Pirates Football Club, a draw against Kaizer Chiefs feels like defeat while they [Chiefs] celebrate a draw as a win."

For Funde Fikile Myekeni seems angry and frustrated at Chiefs' Khama Billiat. The Soccer Laduma reader feels that the Zimbabwean forward deserves to be on the bench:

"Billiat cost us a lot and he should be on the bench from now because he is so selfish!"

Amakhosi defender Happy Mashiane made his derby debut on Saturday and was substituted at half time. Dabane Yantolo feels that the decision was one of many wrong decisions made by the Chiefs technical team and has expressed his disappointment:

"Chiefs' technical team was not supposed to change Happy Mashiane. The young man matured and has brains for football. [Philani] Zulu was a wasted substitute as he didn't bring anything new to the game. The equalising goal was a result of Ekstein, he was on holiday. The technical team took too long to substitute him. Very disappointed."
