Fans have their say following Stuart Baxter's announcement that he has stepped down as the coach of the national team, with the British mentor breaking his silence on reports linking him to the Chiefs job.
Ernst Middendorp is undoubtedly in one of the most sought after jobs in the country. The pressure that comes with being the head coach of one of the biggest teams on the African continent is no child's play.
Added to the pressure, is the fact that Stuart Baxter, a man who had a successful spell at Kaizer Chiefs in the past had now become jobless, following his failure at the AFCON.
Baxter had undoubtedly enjoyed success at Chiefs between 2012 and 2015, winning two Absa Premiership titles as well as two domestic cups in the MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup.
Baxter has broken his silence but has remained coy over reports that he is set for a reunion with Kaizer Chiefs.
This announcement was met with mixed emotions as a faction of the fans seem to think that the 65-year-old is the vital cog needed to take them to the next level, while others feel like Perhaps someone like Dan Malesela could be the man for the job.
Interestingly, Stuart Baxter is known to reunite with his former teams, this was evident when he returned for a second spell with South Africa.
