'Magic FC Must Play Their Normal Game'

Uthini?

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp has stressed the importance of his team progressing to the next round of the Nedbank Cup against ABC Motsepe League side Magic FC. Middendorp added that he will be playing his best XI against the Cape Town-based club.

Fans such as Andile Bonginkosi Mchunu Mchunu seem to have faith in Middendorp for his approach to the game. The Soccer Laduma reader also seems to admire the coach's cautious approach and praised him:

"Because he knows that anything is possible in football. BIG UP!!!"

While Middendorp (popularly known as "Mazinyo" among the fans) earned the praise and admiration of some, others were quick to warn him about the Nedbank Cup encounter against minnows Magic. Sefabatho Rampesi says that a defensive approach against them could cost Chiefs the game:

"If you are still going to play your favourites and overload the pitch with more defensive players, even in the middle of the park, and you don't play Kabelo Mahlasela, [Siphelele] Ntshangase or [Dumisani] Zuma, then you are not going anywhere, Mazinyo."

However, some fans bantered with Middendorp's words. Soccer Laduma reader Thabo Dismental Kgomo threw shade at Amakhosi by hinting that Magic should not fear the Glamour Boys:

"My advice to Magic FC is that they must go out there and play their normal football because Chiefs are on their level."
