'It's A Setback But Milutin Sredojevic Is To Blame'

Uthini?

Orlando Pirates' head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has labelled his side's 1-0 loss against SuperSport United on Wednesday as a "setback". During an interview with SuperSport, the coach said that anxiety and high-stress levels resulted in costly mistakes that led to a defeat. Fans were very angry at the result and are beginning to question the technical team.

Soccer Laduma reader Likhile Mhlanga seems frustrated at the technical team and feels there is no clear direction within the coaches at Pirates. Mhlanga feels that Micho needs to take control:

"Too many heads make nothing. As a coach, you are not to be disturbed by your assistance. Take the advice but the decisions are supposed to be yours."

The loss has brought pessimism among fans who now strongly believe that Pirates will never win a trophy this season. Richardpirates thinks that the Buccaneers will fail to win the CAF Champions League too:

"Yes Micho, you are right. It's a setback but you and Rhulani [Mokoena] are to blame. You keep changing the line-up in all the games. We are going to lose more games. Even in CAF [Champpions League], we will not pass where we are now [group stages]. Mark my words."

But there are always two sides to a story. Fans such as Bheki Majola KaGxamfaza is staying optimistic and have drawn parallels between Micho and former Pirates head coach Ruud Krol, hoping that history will repeat itself:

"Let's remind all the Buccaneers and our haters out there. After all these setbacks during the times of Ruud Krol at Pirates, we came back to win a treble."
