Downs Fans Buoyant: May Is Still Far!

Downs Fans Buoyant: May Is Still Far!

SL Supporter @Phumudzo-percy-makharamedzha0 has reminded fans that the Absa Premiership is won in May and despite early dominance from other teams, Pitso Mosimane's men are more experienced when it comes to winning the league.

Downs currently sit seven points behind log leaders Kaizer Chiefs although they have a game in hand and can narrow it down to just four points. Downs took advantage of Chiefs' slip up against Maritzburg United, while the men from Chloorkop swept Chippa United aside 3-0.

This has led @Tmacu to believe that the men from Naturena are feeling the heat from the defending champions with the league nearing the penultimate stages.

Meanwhile @Calender-t4t feels that it was a case of celebrating too early for Chiefs after Pitso Mosimane referred to the fact that the league is a marathon and not a sprint and that early season form does not necessarily guarantee a successful end.
