Kaizer Chiefs tasted defeat for the first time this season when they went down to a stubborn Polokwane City side.
Despite the defeat, Amakhosi fans have maintained their faith in Ernst Middendorp.
A perfectly executed Jabu Maluleke penalty was all it took to see Polokwane City get one over an in-form Chiefs side.
It was the second time in three matches that the side from Limpopo halted the Glamour Boys. Last season, City managed a 1-0 win and a one all draw against the men from Naturena.
Chiefs however, maintain their position at the top of the Absa Premiership, albeit it for a short while.
In addition, Middendorp revealed that he was not shaken by the loss and that his side were in a "rebuilding phase."
Fans have echoed Middendorp's sentiments and remain resolute in their support for the German mentor, backing him to bounce back after this demoralizing defeat.

"Hard luck my coach, performance was fulfilling, luck was just not on our side. There was only one team on the field in the 2nd half but please stop playing Parker at left back, he passed the ball straight to Polokwane City striker and we almost got punished."

"Don't worry coach, we will bounce back #Amakhosi awapheli moya."

"We are going to come back strong from this. What is comforting is that, even the coach is not a big supporter of the so-called javelin football. Somebody is going to cry when Chiefs finish on top looking down at everyone including Pitso's troops."
SL Supporter: Dangerous when provoked
"Even Barca is rebuilding. That's the nature of the game. There is nothing wrong with that. Even this vuvuzela Sundowns had to rebuild. Remember they were shouting at Pitso sometime back. Not only shouting at him but ugly scenes were seen on TV. There is a starting point."
