With the August/September transfer window closing tonight, Amakhosi fans have spoken out on the players who they wish can be late additions to their side.
Chiefs' fans are licking their lips at the prospect of Bidvest Wits midfield hard man, Thabang Monare joining their side. Although a deal for the 30-year-old seems highly unlikely, stranger things have happened on Deadline Day before.
Ernst Middendorp's midfield options currently consist of Willard Katsande, James Kotei, George Maluleka and Kearyn Baccus.
However, it must be noted that the addition of Monare, who can play both a deep lying and an attacking role, will be welcomed with opened arms.
In addition, Monare has been one of the standout players for the Clever Boys over the last few seasons and certainly has the pedigree to play for one of Mzansi's biggest teams.
Not only will Monare be adding steel to Chiefs' midfield he also brings leadership qualities having captained Jomo Cosmos earlier in his career.
