Teams: University of Pretoria v Mamelodi Sundowns

Date: 12 April 2024

Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium

Time: 19h00

Sundowns booked their place in the quarter-finals of the tournament after beating Motsepe Foundation Championship side Maritzburg United 2-0 in the round of 16 thanks to a brace by Thembinkosi Lorch.

The Brazilians were last in action on Tuesday after edging Cape Town Spurs 1-0 courtesy of a penalty by Lucas Ribeiro Costa in the DStv Premiership.

Masandawana will be without Khuliso Mudau due to suspension.

AmaTuks, on the other hand, made it to the quarter-finals after beating Moroka Swallows 2-1 in the last 16 thanks to goals by Tebogo Mohlamonyane and Thabang Sibanyoni.

The University outfit are unbeaten in their last 16 games in all competitions and were last in action exactly a week ago after edging Casric Stars 1-0 in the MFC.

Tlisane Motaung's charges are just a point behind leaders Magesi in second spot in the National First Division table.

AmaTuks, however, will be without Sibanyoni and Promise Mkhuma due to a loan agreement that prevents them from featuring against their parent club.

Here's how they line up:

University of Pretoria: Maova, Langa, Mahlangu, Gum, Majadibodu, Marebane, Mpedi, Julies, Mvambi, Abrahams, Pheeane

Subs: Dlamini, Makara, Nkogatse, Mokoena, Seanego, Sekotlong, Mohlamonyane, Makungo, Tonisi
