Sundowns Name Starting XI To Face Esperance

Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns will be aiming to book their spot in the CAF Champions League semi-finals when they take on Esperance this evening.

CAF Champions League

Teams: Esperance v Mamelodi Sundowns

Date: 08 April 2025

Venue: Stade olympique Hammadi-Agrebi

Time: 21h00

The Brazilians enter this evening's clash with a slender advantage after Peter Shalulile's second-half strike secured a 1-0 win in the first leg last week.

The clash was also marred by some unsavoury scenes after the clash, where both sets of supporters clash at Loftus Versfeld.

Sundowns had their weekend fixtures postponed to provide them adequate time to travel and prepare for the second leg.

This will be Sundowns' third visit to Esperance's home ground, which includes a 1-0 loss in the first leg of last season's semi-final.

Here's how they line-up:

Esperance: Ben Said,  Jelassi, Tka, Rodrigues, Sasse, Belaili, Bouchniba, Onuche, Tougai, Hamida, Konate

Mamelodi Sundowns:  Williams, Mudau, Kekana, Suarez, Lunga, Allende, Mokoena, Adams, Ribeiro, Sales, Shalulile

Subs: Onyango, Khoza, Mdunyelwa, Tiwani, Modiba, Aubaas, Esquivel, Matthews, Rayners
