Gamescom 2020 opened with a bang as a number of games were showcased and revealed, but we also got to see an extended look at a game running directly on the PlayStation 5.
Some titles have been shown on dev kits, which may not always be an accurate indication of what to expect, however, Insomniac Games showed off the highly-anticipated Ratchet Clank: Rift Apart gameplay demo captured directly from a PS5.
The gameplay demo used was an extended version of the initial reveal of the game, and showcases that two heroes chasing after Dr. Nefarious.
A wide range of the crazy weapons on offer are shown throughout the demo, along with an incredible amount of detail and destruction during combat sequences.
The game is a PlayStation exclusive and as such is built to make use of the console's hardware, including the new SSD.
Fans have been promised no loading screens throughout the game and it is due to release during the same time of the PS5's launch - though a set date has not yet been revealed.
