Loan Move Possible For Ngobeni

Loan Move Possible For Ngobeni

The Siya crew has been led to believe that Mamelodi Sundowns are considering a loan move for left back Sifiso Ngobeni. The former Bloemfontein Celtic defender has been struggling to break into the team and coach Rhulani Mokwena is likely to give a go-ahead for a move to be made during the January transfer window.

Competition at left back has been difficult for Ngobeni, who has previously been loaned out to Tshwane rivals SuperSport United. With Abdelmounaim Boutouil, Terrence Mashego and Aubrey Modiba as options for the head coach in that position, he is unlikely to get into the starting line-up that much.

The 26-year-old has made just two appearances in the DStv Premiership for the Tshwane giants this season, both as a late substitute against Stellenbosch FC and Matsatsantsa respectively. He came on in the final minute of regulation time in both matches but is probably itching for much more than that.

Indications are that there are already talks over a possible loan move, to make sure that the player gets some game-time until the end of the season.

It's unclear, at this stage, if there are any teams that have expressed an interest to have him on board until the end of the campaign, but there will be a lot of work being done behind the scenes to ensure that something is worked out to get the Mamelodi-born man back into the thick of things.
