News reaching Soccer Laduma is Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to a three-year deal with a Petro de Luanda defender.

Siya sources have indicated that the player in question is Inacio Miguel, one of the players recommended by head coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Soccer Laduma had already linked Miguel to Chiefs in the past and discussed why Amakhosi were interested in the player

Now, sources close to the club have added that Miguel is expected to travel to South Africa before the end of the week where he could finalise the remaining contractual details.

Further indications are that this could be a three-year deal which includes an option for an additional year, and Chiefs are believed to be able to pay approximately R10 million to the Angolan side to secure the player.

"Everything is expected to be agreed upon and the player should be in South Africa any time soon. The team and the player are close to agreeing on a three-year contract with a one-year option. The issue of the salary is private and between the involved parties but that one should also be sorted. So, in essence they are waiting for his papers to be sorted to be a Kaizer Chiefs player," the Siya source stated.

A second insider stated that the two clubs have agreed on a R10 million transfer fee, but that payment conditions need to be settled first.

"You know the paying of a transfer fee is between the two clubs. As long as they agree on how they can do it then that's fair and that's how they want to go about it. It's R10 million and only Chiefs and Petro know how Chiefs could pay. But for them, to agree and give the player the go ahead to discuss personal terms, that means they may be happy with R10m. The rest is between the player and Kaizer Chiefs. But for now it's close to a deal which is for three years," the second source stated.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment, but no response was received at the time of publishing.
