News landing on the Siya crew's desk indicates that Kaizer Chiefs are ready to listen to offers from any club interested in the services of Siyethemba Sithebe, who arrived at Naturena with huge fanfare but has, for all intents and purposes, failed to live up to expectations.
This publication has been informed that while his outstanding performances and consistency at his previous club AmaZulu FC are what attracted Amakhosi to his services, the player appears to be feeling the weight of the famous Gold and Black jersey as his performances have been below par when given an opportunity.
Siya sources have indicated that the 30-year-old has since been sidelined, with the club hoping that there are suitable candidates interested in the dreadlocked star during the January open transfer window period. Indications are that his former club, Usuthu, have already made enquiries about the possibilities of bringing him back to KwaZulu-Natal.
According to sources, the club is undergoing a tough financial period but are determined not to let that derail their ambitious plans of building a solid competitive club. Even through Soccer Laduma has picked on information that the club planned on putting 49% of their shares up for sale, it has not stopped them from acquiring players they feel have the potential to take them to a higher level.
AmaZulu seem to believe that familiar surroundings could perhaps rekindle spark and light the fire under the belly of Sithebe in the famous Green and White jersey.
