The first round of DStv Premiership matches will see defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns visiting Sekhukhune United, while new Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki will have his first test in the hot seat against Chippa United.
Champions Sundowns will kick things off at New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, August 4, against Sekhukhune, who held the Tshwane giants to a draw last season when they met at the same venue.

The following day, on Saturday, August 5, Golden Arrows and Moroka Swallows will lock horns at Mpumalanga Stadium at 15h00, before Royal AM and AmaZulu battle it out in a KZN derby in Chatsworth at 17h30.
Soweto giants Orlando Pirates, who are currently in Spain for pre-season, will visit Stellenbosch at Danie Craven Stadium at 20h00, with SuperSport United taking on Richards Bay at Lucas Moripe Stadium at the same time.
Sunday, August 6, will see Amakhosi welcoming the Chilli Boys to FNB Stadium and TS Galaxy hosting new boys Cape Town Spurs at Mbombela Stadium. Both matches are set to kick off at 15h00. The final match of the first weekend will take place at Athlone Stadium, between hosts Cape Town City and promoted outfit Polokwane City, at 17h30.

The PSL season is due to finish on May 25 next year, with the PSL having to make room for three knockout competitions in the 2023/24 campaign.
