The Egyptian giants have reportedly been added to Mofokeng's growing list of admirers.
According to Kingfut, Al Ahly are keen on pairing the teenager with another South African on their books in Percy Tau. It is unclear at this stage whether or not they have made a formal approach to Pirates for his services.
To make a move possible, the website reported that French striker Anthony Modeste and Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng could be on their way out of the club, so to open up a foreign space for Mofokeng's arrival.
Mofokeng has had a sensational season in the DStv Premiership for the Buccaneers and has played a lot of football too.
He played 35 games in all competitions to date, and has racked up 10 goal contributions this season with four goals and six assists to his name.
