The Tito Effect: Pirates' Path To Glory

Orlando Pirates' standout player, Patrick 'Tito' Maswanganyi, attributes his impressive form to the overall quality of the team, enabling him to showcase his skills effectively.

In their recent DStv Premiership fixture against Royal AM, Maswanganyi delivered yet another outstanding performance, securing the man-of-the-match award in their commanding 4-0 victory. His contributions, including a goal and three assists, played a pivotal role in Pirates' success, positioning them favorably for second place in the league standings.

"I think for me it's very easy with the players that we play with, I think they help me a lot and the coaches also," Maswanganyi said in a post-match interview on Pirates media.

Following his breakthrough season at SuperSport United, Maswanganyi's seamless transition to Pirates has solidified his status as a key player under coach Jose Riveiro, earning recognition from Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos. Reflecting on his move to the Buccaneers, Maswanganyi affirms his satisfaction with the decision, emphasizing the freedom and opportunity to express himself on the field.

"I think coming here has been a great move for me and I'm able to express myself the way I want. And I'm able to play the football that I want. So, I'm very happy to be here," Maswanganyi said.

Pirates have found form again and scoring goals at a rapid rate, but key to this has been the positivity from the fanbase which has in-turn rubbed off on them.
