SuperSport United assistant coach, Kaitano Tembo, says his club are keen to play in Africa and that it provides additional motivation for them to win today's Nedbank Cup final.
Tembo: Baxter Has Changed The Team
SuperSport have not competed in any continental competitions for four years, but a win against Orlando Pirates today will hand them a place in the CAF Confederation Cup, which the former defender has said is one of the reasons behind their desire to win today's final, besides lifting the trophy.
"We want to play in Africa," Tembo told the Siya crew. "We want to win the Nedbank Cup and go to play in Africa again as the last time we played there in 2012 and we didn't do very well but if we can win against Pirates today we will have that chance."
Tembo added that last week's game against the Buccaneers provides yet another reason for his team to play their hearts out today.
"After playing against Pirates in the league last Saturday and getting a draw we have the motivation to play and win today and everyone in the team is looking to lifting the trophy this afternoon," he expressed.
