SuperSport United assistant coach, Kaitano Tembo, has heaped praise on Stuart Baxter for the way he turned the club's fortunes around after his appointment January.
Over R20 Million For The Nedbank Cup
SuperSport United started the season badly and that run led to former coach Gordon Igesund being sacked in January. The club then replaced him with the former Kaizer Chiefs coach and Tembo has given credit to Baxter for turning the club's season around.
"Coach Stuart has changed the team," he told the Siya crew. "He found us when the morale was down."
Tembo went on to explain how Baxter took the struggling Tshwane-based team into the top eight of the Absa Premiership and to the Nedbank Cup final.
"He has installed belief and confidence in the team, mainly in the players and that's why we have managed to finish in top eight and are in the final of the Nedbank Cup. He had brought the fighting spirit which helps the team get results," the former defender added.
Baxter To Snatch Another Chiefs Player?
SuperSport will look to put the cherry on top of their recovery this season by getting their hands on silverware when they take on Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank final tomorrow at 15:00, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
