Orlando Pirates midfielder, Mpho Makola says that the Nedbank Cup holds sentimental significance for him and that he is keen to get his hands on the trophy again.

Makola is set to line up against SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday and says that the occassion is personal for him as it was the first trophy he won as a player, when he won it with the Buccaneers in 2014.
"You know this was my first trophy as a professional player and I would want to win it again with Pirates," he told the Siya crew. "It's personal for me but I know that most of the players are feeling the same about winning the trophy."
Makola went on to say that his teammates are also highly motivated to win the game, and that they just need to stick to their game plan in order to overcomes the disappointment of losing the CAF Confederation Cup final.
"We want to go to Polokwane and win the trophy. We just have to make sure that we stick to our game plan then we can celebrate at the end of the game. After failing to win the CAF Confederation Cup, we want this one," the Tembisa born player concluded.
