Orlando Pirates coach, Eric Tinkler, is pleased with securing a top eight finish in this season's Absa Premiership and says that his team will now turn their focus to the Nedbank Cup final, where they take on SuperSport United again.
Tinkler: What We Need To Work On
Pirates had to wait until the final day of the season to make sure they finished in the top eight with a 2-2 draw against Stuart Baxter's men. Now Tinkler says that he would have liked to have won the game to boost his team's confidence, but that the draw will keep them humble.
"We would have loved to win this game and go into the finals with that confidence," he told the Siya crew. "But at the same time it could be a good result because we won't relax thinking we can beat them."
The 45-year-old is now putting the weekend's game behind him and says that he would like to top this season off by adding some silverware to the trophy cabinet.
"The league game is over and now we are looking at the Nedbank Cup with one thing in mind and that is to win the trophy," the former Bidvest Wits assistant coach explained.
