Baxter said, "I thought we played an excellent tactical first half. We knew they were going to then come out with three at the back and throw the kitchen sink at it. We give them a goal back with sloppy play, and then have to weather the storm. "The boys have shown immense depth of character. The team's character is the biggest quality today." United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams picked up a knock during the game and had to be substituted, putting Boalefa Pule under great pressure between the sticks. The substitute gloveman stood up to the test and did a great job to keep United ahead, which drew praise from Baxter. The coach added, "I'm really pleased and proud that Pule goes in under immense pressure and was absolutely faultless. "Once again, this squad has won this cup. It's not just this team, it's the whole squad who has won this cup. It's been brilliant."
