Sabelo Ndzinisa Will Not Be Joining SuperSport United

Eric Tinkler says that he won't be signing Sabelo Ndzinisa from Mbabane Swallows, although he has identified two positions that he still wants to strengthen at SuperSport United. Read: SuperSport Sign Wits 'Keeper The Swaziland international arrived at SuperSport last week for Tinkler to have a look at him ahead of a possible move, however, was unable to do enough to persuade the new Matsatsantsa coach that he was worthy of a contract at the club. Ndzinisa scored five goals past Platinum Stars in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages, and will now return to his club in Swaziland after failing to secure a move to the Absa Premiership. Speaking to the Siya crew about the attacker, Tinkler explained his reasons, saying, "In attack I think we've got a lot of players there, and I entertained him because obviously, we're always looking at a player that could add value, but when it comes to a foreign player he needs to be – unless he's young – better than what we have. Truth be told, we won't be taking him." Find all updates on the latest rumours and confirmed deals in our Transfer Centre! Tinkler isn't done yet though and says that he still wants to add a couple of players to his squad. He explained, "I won't reveal positions, but we are still looking to strengthen the team. There are two areas of the squad that I believe we need to strengthen. We want to have a 28-man squad and currently, we're sitting on 26." Meanwhile, on the topic of the club's pre-season following their CAF efforts, Tinkler said, "I think it's been exceptionally good. I think it was important to give them a break, a healthy 12-day break, so they could go away. Dean went back to England, Jeremy went away to Mauritius, and I think it was psychologically very good for the team. "We've been back now three weeks, and the response has been phenomenal. We've had a few friendly games where we've started give the guys more and more game time."
